Can I use rechargeable batteries in the radio controller?

We recommend using alkaline battery for use in the Infrared handset. Rechargeable batteries provide less voltage than what is necessary; these are normally rated at 1.2 volt whereas alkaline batteries are normally rated at 1.5 volt.
