FAQS

Helicopter keeps spinning to one side - left or right!

The Salvation 1 Helicopter uses a twin rotor system which involves counter rotating blades spinning in the opposite direction. This enables the helicopter to hover and achieve the balance it requires for stable flight. If one rotor spins faster than the other the helicopter will spin in one direction making it difficult to control. Trim controls, located under the right hand control stick on the handset, should eliminate the spinning by counteracting the spin itself. After adjusting the trim controls fully left/right and the helicopter persists to spin please try the following steps:

Refer to back page of Instruction Manual for diagram of handset

-Ensure ‘External Trim' (Trim 3) is in central position.

-Remove black cap on handset (Trim Cover) to get to the internal trims. This is located next to ‘The Salvation Logo' on the lower section of handset.

-Turn handset "ON/OFF" to "ON" position

-Arm handset as normal (push throttle forward and back)

-Turn the "FAR RIGHT INTERNAL TRIM" (Trim A) 1mm clockwise OR anti-clockwise. Do not turn too much or this can damage the motor.

-Check if spinning has slowed down and if so continue to turn internal trim a further 1mm until spinning has seized.

-If after turning the trim in one direction and the spinning has increased, turn trim in opposite direction.
